Aid Sought For Second Channel
(Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, October 29. The Minister of Broadcasting (Mr Scott) said today the Broadcasting Corporation had applied to the Government for financial assistance in the establishment of a second television channel. “The matter is under consideration,” he said. Mr Scott had been asked by Mr W. W. Freer (Opp.. Mount Albert) in Parliament |if he could advise when a decision on this extension of television could be expected. Mr Scott also said no date had been set for the start of a second channel.
