Wool Prices Firm At Wellington

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 30. Hogget wool at the first main Wellington wool sale today was firm on the recent Timaru sale, except for faulty types which were irregular and in buyers’ favour.

Crutchings also met with a weaker market, according to the official report issued by the Wellington Woolbrokers’ and the New Zealand Woolbuyers’ Association and the Wool Commission. Buyers were offered 17,200 bales Mostly Hogget The offering consisted of mainly hogget wool with a fair proportion of crutchings and a small proportion of ewe and wether wool and the usual percentage of skirtings. Allowing for the dry autumn and the wet spring experienced in most districts, i the hogget wool was generally I in good condition with a proportion of short-stapled and
