Reserve Ratios Increased
A notice in the Gazette increases the minimum deposits of trading banks with the Reserve Bank to 24 per cent of their demand liabilities. This is an increase of 2 per cent since October 7 when the requirement was relaxed to permit the transfer of money from current accounts to trading bank savings banks.
