SAIGON, Oct. 30.
The chief of State of South Vietnam today designated the Mayor of Saigon (Mr Tran Van Huong) as Prime Minis* ter.
The announcement came in a communique from the chief of State (Phan Khac Suu). Mr Huong will form a Government to replace that of Major-General Nguyn Khanh, who offered his resignation last Monday as part of the move to hand over power to civilians.

(N.Z, Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, October 30. Camberley, Surrey, sea cadets cannot keep their lads beyond the age—about sixteen—when they start to take an interest in girls. So their commanding officer, Lieutenant Godfrey Loneragan has started a girls’ nautical training corps in an attempt to stop the drift. “When the boys see the girls in their attractive uniforms of short blue skirts and white blouses, I hope things will be different,” he said yesterday.
