Bus Concessions For Age Beneficiaries

Sir,—lt was good to read Mr Fardell’s statement that this would be considered by the Transport Board. To most of us the expenditure of a few shillings a week, or even a day, on bus fares is not a serious matter; but there are some to whom it means quite a lot. For those getting on in years, with meagre incomes and perhaps limited physical abilities, it would undoubtedly be a godsend to be able, for a modest annual payment, to avail themselves of the hundreds of miles of city bus routes, as and when they felt so disposed.—Yours etc., ILAM.
