SHOOTING ACCIDENT

Young Man Killed

(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Oct. 19. A young man was killed in a shooting accident at Blackmans Gully, near Alexandra, about 2 p.m. yesterday. He was Alexander Martin Campbell, aged 17, apprentice carpenter, of Enterprise street, Alexandra. Campbell and two friends were shooting on a property belonging to the Earnscleugh station. Campbell had climbed over a fence and was waiting for his companions. According to the police, one of the latter was getting over the fence when his .22 rifle accidentally discharged.
