ARROW HIT WIFE

Archer’s Act On Stage

09.8. Prase Attn.—Copyright) MILDURA (Victoria), Oct 18.

A blindfolded bowman shot his wife in the head with an arrow during an exhibition at the annual Mildura Show yesterday. The bowman, aged 48, billed as “Little Beaver KavanaghApache Indian Chief,” fired five arrows around his 38-year-old wife. As a climax to his performance, he was to aim at his wife's chest and shout to her to duck. She ducked too late. The crowd of 120 screamed as he broke the arrow in trying to remove it from her head. The arrow shaft was removed at the hospital where the woman’s condition was satisfactory. Mrs Kavanagh has been hit three times before by arrows —once in each shoulder and once in the chest
