North Harbour, match drawn, with no play on the second day. Dunedin Tne New Zealand representatives, S. N. McGregor and F. J. Cameron, both had good days for the opening of the senior cricket competition on Saturday. Playing for Grange, McGregor scored an attractive and fluent 75 against Dunedin, while for the opposition Cameron took five wickets for 64 ruhs, the last four being taken at a cost of only eight runs. The day was fine and cool, but slow wickets after overnight rain and well grassed outfields produced low and slow scoring. There was one shock In the series.
