Parliament’s Diary
Six new bills, the Agricultural Regulations Confirmation Bill, the Primary Products Regulations Confirmation Bill, the Wool - testing Authority Bill, the National Roads Amendment Bill, the Harbours Amendment Bill and the Waterfront Industry Amendment Bill, were introduced and read a first time in Parliament yesterday. Mr J. Mathison (Opp., Avon) introduced the Fire Safety Bill, which was read a first time. The report of the Royal Commission on Parliamentary Salaries was tabled.
The House spent the rest of the day debating the second reading of .the Social Security Amendment Bill. The debate is unfinished.
