Fish Offered To Japan
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 2. At least six New Zealand fishing companies had offered to sell fish to at least four Japanese companies, the Minister of Marine (Mr Scott) said in Parliament today. So far no sales had been made. Mr Scott was replying to Mr B. P. MacDonell (Opp.. Dunedin Central), who had asked if it was possible to step up activity in the fishing industry so that New Zealand could export fish to Japan besides satisfying local markets.
