Tramway Union Officers
Mr W. W. Browne was elected president of the Christchurch Tramway Workers’ Union, defeating the sitting president (Mr N. D. Delaney) in a postal ballot. The voting was: Mr Brown 106; Mr R. G. Hoban 87; Mr Delaney 85. Other officers elected were: Vice-presidents, Messrs R. Gussette and R. J. Neville; executive, Messrs W. Cooper, F. Cane, S. Pope, E. A. Armitt, R. Jamison, E. Egan, G Cummings and K. Charteris.
