The final game of the Fijians’ Welsh tour against Abertillery, which was drawn, 11-11, attracted 17,000 spectators—2ooo more than the All Blacks drew in their corresponding game last season, says the “Guardian’s” Rugby correspondent. It much enhanced the fortunes of the Welsh Rugby Union, which has taken a profit of some £7OOO.

Australia and the United States would each receive a minimum of 70,000 dollars from the Davis Cup challenge round receipts, the promoter, Mr Robert Malaga, said yesterday. The gross receipts totalled 250,00 dollars. After the share-out the remainder would go for various expenses, he said.
