Athletics Coach To Lecture In Chch.
One of Europe’s most sought after athletic coaches, Mr Geoffrey Dyson, a former chief national coach to the English Amateur Athletic Association, will be making a three-week tour of New Zealand immediately after the Tokyo Olympic Games. He will hold a one-day clinic in Christchurch on November 13. Mr Dyson was selected for the tour, which will be sponsored by Rothmans, by the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Coachs’ Association. A leading American coach, Mr J. Bush, was brought to the Dominion by the association last season. This information was conveyed to the Canterbury Athletic Centre last evening by Mr G. R. Young, the organiser of the Christchurch section of the tour. While he is in Christchurch, Mr Dyson will give an illustrated public lecture on "Mechanics of Athletics and the Olympics” in the even-
ing. His one-day clinic will be held in the Bryndwr Y.M.C.A. from 9.30 to 4 p.m. During his visit, he will conduct two residential weekend courses, one at Auckland and one at Dunedin, and four one-day clinics.
At present, Mr Dyson is director of Youth Fitness for Canada, working for the Royal Canadian Legion. He has held this position since 1962.

Palmerston North; November 5. Wellington; November 11, Christchurch. Public lectures. —October 28, Auckland; October 29. Hamilton; November 3. Palmerston North and Masterton; November 4. Wellington; November 11, Christchurch.
