The extension was in accordance with the European fishery limits convention negotiated at a 16-nation conference in London in March. From today Britain has: 1. A three-mile territorial limit, as before. 2. A six-mile exclusive fishery zone. 3. A further six-mile fishery belt In this outer belt those countries that have traditionally fished will continue to do so by special agreements.
