STRIPPERS STRIPPED
(N.Z. Press Association > GISBORNE, Sept. 30. The cast of a travelling strip show last night had to go on stage in their own clothes in Gisborne after thieves broke into the War Memorial Hall and stole their costumes. “The show almost didn’t go on,” said Mr W. Martin, the promoter. “I think it must have been the work of cranks. “The thieves left very expensive ball gowns and concentrated on the stripper costumes. However, we made do, with girls wearing their own clothes.”
