Trainer Out Of Hospital
The Templeton trainer, F. E. Newfield, has been discharged from the Ashburton Hospital. He hopes to drive at the Ashburton Trotting Club’s meeting on Saturday. Newfield received concussion and bruising when Seafield Scott was involved in a mix-up .in the Avonmore Handicap at the Methven meeting last Saturday. The Methven trainer, M. C. McTigue, is expected to be in hospital for some weeks. He received two breaks in a leg when he was tossed from the sulky of Van Rush in the Methven Cup.
