Hula Highlight At Birthday
A buffet luncheon was held recently to celebrate the thirty-fifth anniversary of the Loburn Country Women’s Institute. The president of the North Canterbury Federation of Country Women’s Institutes (Mrs M. Bethell) and members of sister institutes were among the many guests present. A presentation for faithful service to the institute was made to Mrs N. Goldsbup*, who cut the birthday cake, assisted by three older members. The highlight of the entertainment was a hula dance performed by Mesdames E. Legg, B. Neale and L. Russell.
