RANGI-RURU OLD GIRLS
The Rangi-ruru Old Girls’ Association has had prefects’ photographs for many of the years before 1946 reframed, remounted and inscribed to match photographs of succeeding years, and the committee has commissioned two pictures of camellias and given them to the school for the new block of classrooms. The committee reported this to the annual meeting of the association last evening. Membership now stands at 1475.
The history of the school, written to commemorate the seventy-fifth anniversary, had sold well. Gratitude was expressed to old girls who had contributed generously to the fund for the. Gibson Memorial Library. The following officers were elected:—Patron, Mrs J. Sholto Douglas; president, Mrs D. B. Smith; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames N. R. Belcher, J. S. Callaway, C. W. Ballantyne; secretary, Miss Betty Webb; treasurer, Mrs D. E. Dalzell; committee, Mrs T. Caldwell, Miss Josephine Dawson, Mrs K. W. Frampton, Misses Joan Hanna, Lyndsay McAllister, Kathleen McKerrow, Dorothy McMillan, Alison Oakley, Mrs D. Parker.
