UGLY MOVE

The world “gurning” champion, Peter “Taffy” Thomas, who took the world title only eight days ago by making the ugliest face, has been challenged by six Americans who claim they can be even uglier.' “Taffy” Thomas beat stiff competition at Egremont (the runner-up managed to put his lower lip over his nose) to take the gurning title—an award which originated in 1267 Now a cablegram from Kansas City to the an cient Egremont erab fair festival—which declared “Taffy" Thomas world ehampion—says a local radio station has half a dozen men uglier than the 50-year-old British laboratory assistant. The Americans want the challenge decided by photographs.
