The staff of the Christchurch Drainage Board met last evening to bid farewell to Mr H. F. Page, the chief engineer, who left the board yesterday. Mr Page was presented with a camera. Mr H. Mawson, chairman of the Auckland Education Board, has .been elected president of the Education Boards’ Association today The deputy-president is Mr A. S. Murray (Canterbury).— (PA.)
Mr O. A. Hutchinson, the assistant managing-director of Hutchinson Motors, Ltd., and Mr J. M. Snook, tractor manager of the same firm, will attend an international tractor dealers’ conference, which will be held in New York from October 10 to October 12. The meeting will be attended by 6000 dealers from 120 countries. The two Christchurch men will also visit the New York world’s fair.
