Obituary
MR W. GASSON Mr William Gasson, who, at 91, was the last surviving member of the prominent Sydenham Rugby Club’s senior team of 1900, died recently. With two of his brothers, Mr Gasson played in the Sydenham side that lost to the championship-winning Christchurch team at Lancaster Park. He was a member of a very well known Sydenham family and followed his father into the building trade. Gasson street in Sydenham was named after the family. He had been retired for many years. He is survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter.
