N.Z. RED CROSS SOCIETY
I New Sub-Centre Formed A new sub-centre of the New Zealand Red Cross Society, to be known as the South Christchurch subcentre, was formed recently. Miss M. Bain gave a talk on the work of the society’s Good Neighbour Service and Miss T. Eldridge discussed other activities of the Red Cross. It was decided to hold meetings on the third Thursday of the month at St. Philip’s schoolroom, when new members would be welcome. The following officers were elected:—President, Mrs W. G. Cummins: vice-president, Miss I. Lewton; secretary. Miss W. P. Crabbe; treasurer, Mrs M. G. Watson.
