ELECTION FORECAST
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 29. Lord Kindersley, Governor of the Royal Exchange Insurance Company, chairman of Rolls Royce and a director of the Bank of England, forecast “a close race” in the forthcoming British General Election today. He said there had been a big change in political sentiment during the last six months, back towards the Government. Economically, Britain had made steady progress during the last three years and there was no unemployment worth speaking of. It was a little over 1 per cent.
