C. P. Crittle, who made a double Rugby tour of New Zealand this year, first as captain of the Australian Universities team and then as a member of the Australian team, is unlikely to be available for Australia against South Africa next year. A law student, Crittle intends to spend more time
on his studies. He has found that Rugby over the last few seasons, particularly touring, has cut heavily into his studies. Crittle toured South Africa with the Australian team and played in all three tests as lock against New Zealand. He appeared to be a certain choice to play against South Africa
