New Theatre Group
Members of the recentlydisbanded W.E.A. Dramatic Society have formed a new group, Crescent Theatre, which plans to produce serious plays, the first of which will be the Tennessee Williams’s “Garden City,” the title under which “Something Unspoken” and “Suddenly Last Summer” were presented in New York in 1956. This will be in midNovember. . The W.E.A. Dramatic Society existed for six years and won trophies each year in the British Drama League festival. Mrs Mary Lawdon is the president of the new. group.
