UNIVERSITY EXAMS
Rise In Entries Proportionately Examination entries at the University of Canterbury this year have increased slightly in proportion to the small increase in roll numbers. Arts, science and general candidates number 3174 compared with 3134 last year. Of these 944 are science students, compared with 952 last year. There are 557 engineering entries compared with 556 last year. Commerce entries are down from 463 to 455 but there are more of these students full time and they are taking more subjects. Examination Candidates in all faculties will sit bout 430 papers with about 140 units. Examinations begin on October 27 and last about three weeks.
