' Miss N.Z.’ Told To Rest
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Sept. 9. “Miss New Zealand,” Miss Lyndal Cruickshank, has been ordered to rest by her doctor. She became ill in Palmerston North and has had to return home to Invercargill. Mr J. Brown, the organiser of the “Miss New Zealand” contest, said he hoped she would be back to full health again in time to travel to England. She is due to leave New Zealand late next month. In the meantime, the run-ner-up to “Miss New Zealand," Miss Helen Iggo, of Christchurch, will take over the tour of North Island centres which Miss Cruickshank started.
