HEPATITIS CASES
36 Reported In August Thirty-six cases of infective hepatitis were confirmed by the Christchurch health office during August, the highest monthly total since February, 1962. Most of those affected were in a male ward at the Templeton Hospital and Training School. There were 11 confirmed cases of pulmonary tuberculosis, and one case of a nonpulmonary form of the disease, during the month. Three cases of pemphigus neoatorum and one of ophthalmia neonatorum were also confirmed, and there were five cases of occupational dermatitis.
