Chair Given By W.D.F.F.
A lounge chair has been given to the Methodist Central Mission for use in the Christchurch Maori Youth Hostel, by the Canterbury Provincial executive of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers, states a report from the September meeting of the executive. Mrs I. Fraser presided. Two members of the Federated Farmers attended the meeting, and explained to what use the W.D.F.F. building fund money would be put in the new Federated Farmers building which will be in Armagh street. It was hoped that there will be a record number of entries for the Festival of Talent to be held at Lincoln in October. Entries must be in by September 23. Delegates’ reports were heard at the meeting. Mrs Fraser thanked all who had helped with the W.D.F.F. stand at the Industries Fair.
A school of procedure for officers will be held at a country meeting at Hororata on December 2, it was decided.
