Trade Name Drugs.— “When a doctor orders a drug by its official name, any brand may be supplied. If, however, a trade name is specified, the patient is entitled to receive that particular preparation. Several examples of brand substitution have been brought to the notice of the department lately,” says Clinical Services Letter No. 45 of the Health Department.
