Queen Opens New Bridge
(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, September 8. Scenes unprecedented in the history of motoring in Scotland occurred during the week-end, when up to 28 miles of traffic waited to cross the Forth bridge, opened by the Queen last Friday, says the “Scotsman.” Cars were packed in double lines, bumper to bumper from the bridge to Blackhall in Edinburgh, and on the north side almost as far as Kirkaldy. About 20 cars broke down on the bridge.
