Organised Poultry
(N.Z.P.A. -Reuter— Copyright) MOSCOW, September 6. The Soviet Union has decided to organise poultry fanning "on an industrial basis” in the hope that it will produce 30,000 million eggs and 811,000 tons of poultry meat annually by 1970, Tass reported. The agency said the Central Committee of the Soviet Communist Party and 1 the Soviet Council of Ministers had decided to “expand considerably the construction of poultry factory farms in the vicinity of big towns and industrial centres” to increase production of eggs and poultry meat to satisfy the population’s requirements.
