Overarm Or Underarm
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, Sept. 6. An offer to organise a relay race across the English Channel between the Australian cricket team and 11 English cricketers has been turned down, it was reported today. An estate agent, Mr Wilfred Westley, aged 43, who has had seven unsuccessful attempts to swim the channel, made the proposal. He said: “The M.C.C. told me it is doubtful if either team could produce enough strong swimmers.”
