1st Echelon Reunion
(N Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Sept. 7. Almost 25 years have elapsed since the First Echelon, then known as the special force, entered camp. During Labour week-end, members of the much-de-pleted band will gather in Dunedin for their silver jubilee national reunion. The reunion is expected to be one of the biggest of its kind in recent years; The chairman of the organising committee, Mr R. A. O. Price said today First Echelon men and women from all parts of New Zealand would attend the gathering. A large proportion of Dunedin's hotel accommodation had been block-booked. More would be required.
