S.A. Seeks More Jets
(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter--Copyright) LONDON, Sept 1. South Africa is seeking to double an order it placed in Britain last October for 16 naval strike aircraft The new order now being negotiated for Hawker Siddeley Buccaneer Special, Mark II aircraft is worth £2om. The Buccaneer is a jet strike aircraft designed for sustained flight at near-sonic speed at low level. Powered by two Rolls Royce Spey turbojet engines it has a range of 1000 miles.
