Professor J. R. Griffith, head of the school of hospital administration at the University of New South Wales, will visit New Zealand in November. He will address hospital officers at their annual conference in Gisborne and visit hospitals in main centres. —(PA.)
Mr R.’ W. Cleland, supervisor of national parks since 1958, has been invited to serve as a member of the International Commission of National Parks. Formerly chief ranger at Arthur’s Pass National Park, he represented New Zealand at the first world conference on national parks in Seattle in 1962. He is already a member of the International Commission’s park systems planning committee. Mr H. Coxhead, managingdirector of Mutual Rental Cars Ltd., Timaru, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Tourist Hotel Corporation. He replaces the late Mr E. J. Barron, of Invercargill.—(P.A.) • Mr H. O. Hills has been appointed the Kaiapoi Borough Council’s representative on the Christchurch Regional Planning Authority in place of Mr R. T. Smith.
