(N Z P A.-Reuter—Copyright) HONG KONG, August 31. China has a lot to do to improve its hop gardens, a New Zealand scientist engaged in the study of hop disease said in Hong Kong. Mr T. Christie, of Cawthorn Institute, Nelson, arrived in Hong Kong after a 17-day tour of China. Mr Christie said that although China had many brands of beer, only Tsingtao beer was of good quality. While in China, he visited hop gardens and breweries in Peking, Tsingtao, Shanghai and Canto.i.
