(N Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Sept. 31. The June - July - August weather in Auckland has been some of the gloomiest in the last 50 years. Sunshine recorded by the Auckland Weather Office for the three months, excluding today’s figures, was 312.3 hours. Christchurch had 361 hours.

In the 92-day period in Auckland only 28 days were free of rain. There were 18 wet days in June, 25 in July and 21 in August.
