Junior Davis Cup The two-man Mexican team of Luis Carcla and Marcello Lara defeated the United States team today to capture the international junior Davis Cup tennis championship. Mexico’s victory came after triumphs over New Zealand and Canada, the only other nations competing in the round robin series. Mexico had nine points, the United States six. Defended Title Earl Nikora successfully de fended his light heavy-weight title against Johnny Nomura in Invercargill last evening, winning by a technical knockout in the twelfth round. In a bout full of mauling, brawling and butting, Nomura was leading on points when Nikora feiied him for eight with a sharp left clip to the jaw.
