GROCERY “GRAB”
Mother Of Five Wins Mrs S. 0. Harris, of 41 Truman road, has been chosen as the housewife who will collect as many groceries as possible in two minutes in the supermarket at the National Food Fair on Saturday morning. Mrs Harris, who has five 1 ! school-age children, said last! evening that she did not even! know her husband, a union secretary, had taken a ticket in the Christchurch Press Club raffle which decided the person to make the “grab.”
“I am so excited. 1 still can’t believe it My children are aged from five to 15 and the older ones eat like horses. The groceries will be very welcome—l don’t know where to put them. “My husband said to get my hair done and spruce the kids up for Saturday. Just like a man! I shop at a supermarket and 1 think 1 shall do fairly well. I will be trying hard.” Mrs Harris said.
