IMPROVING WHARF
£175,000 Sought (N.Z. Press Association i WELLINGTON, August 26. The Wellington Harbour Board intends to spend £175,000 on the inter-island wharf to provide facilities for the roll-on, roll-off ferry service. The board tonight notice of its intention to consider at its next meeting a motion to apply for sanction to borrow the money. Notice was also given of the board’s intention to request sanction for a loan of £225,000 •for conversion of Glasgow wharf into an export wharf with two modern berths.
The board passed a formal resolution sanctioning a loan of £170,000. the final amount of a three-part loan of
£530,000 for the Clyde Qua overseas terminal.
