Burnt By Hot Metal
A workman at Austral Standard Cables. Ltd., Islington, was severely burnt about the face yesterday morning when molten metal exploded. The man, Mr V. Joblin, aged 49, of 133 Wales street, was taken to the Christchurch Hospital by a St. John ambulance for emergency treatment. He was then transferred to the Burwood Hospital and admitted to the plastic surgery ward. His condition last night was fairly satisfactory.
