Discount For Jet Noise
(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P A.)
LONDON, August 26. The noise of jet aircraft as they thunder in and out of London airport is said to be reducing the value of houses in the immediate and near vicinity by about £5OO each. Many people cannot stand the whine of the aircraft and look for houses further away. They find they have to accept about 10 per cent less when they sell their houses than when they buy elsewhere.
