More Citrus Canker
(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Aug, 25. Agriculture Department horticultural inspectors have discovered further outbreaks of citrus canker at New Plymouth, necessitating the destruction of about 100 trees. Affected trees have been found in three areas, and in one area alone about 50 to 60 trees have to be uprooted and destroyed. The officer in charge of the inspection, Mr D. B. Parker, said today there were other suspected cases within the city boundary.
