Linwood Still Unbeaten “The Press" Special Serf , NAPIER. August 26 South Island teams had a d>( flcult day it. the Napier sectof the New Zealand seconder’ schools’ hockey tournament io day. Waimea College, which lost t, King's High School, now has t win its final game against Nap ier in order to be bracketed winners In section A. Linwood High School, together with Napier and Wellington, ar. the only unbeaten teams in thtournament, but in drawing with Wellington College. Linwood will probably be involved in a tie in section C. Cashmere High School had a loss and a draw and has r.o chance of winning section B where Northland College and St Kentigerns could probably tie Waimea, in its only game of the day. waa possibly unleckto lose. 1-2, but the Dunedin side played beautiful hocke? controlling the ball, holding it. and generally playing as a unit Untidv shooting cost Waimea the match. Its only goal cam. from a penalty corner late in the game, by D. Gribble. Linwood had a most unpleas ant match with Wellington Col lege, and although two goals ahead at the interval, could only manage a 2-all draw.
