Bikini Blast
(N.Z.P A.-Reuter—Copyright) WASHINGTON, Aug. 26. President Johnson has signed a bill authorising up to 950,000 dollars in “compassionate relief” payments to residents of Rongelap Island, exposed to fallout from the explosion of an atomic bomb at Bikini Atoll on March 1, 1954.
