For prompt service and atattention: ’PHONE 45-570. 7363 WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL PAPANUI RIDING WORKS LOAN 1964 £19,909 STYX RIDING WORKS LOAN 1964 £3OOO IT IS HEREBY publicly notified that the Waimairi County Council at a Special Meeting held in the Council Chambers, Clyde road, Fendalton, on Thursday, August 20, 1964, passed the following resolution:— That in pursuance and exer,cise of the powers vested in it by the “Counties Act, 1956” and the “Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956” and amendments thereto and all other Acts (if any) enabling it in that behalf and by virtue of the sanction of the Local Authorities: Loans Board granted at a meeting of the Board held on the 4th August, 1964, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves to proceed to. raise in New Zealand, Road Works Loans of the following amounts:— Papanui Riding, £10,009. Styx Riding, £3OOO. For the purpose of constructing, kerbing and channelling and reconstructing and sealing roads, subject to the following determinations:— 1. That, such loans be known as:— (a) Papanui Riding Works Loan 1964—£10,000. (b) Styx Riding Works Loan 1964—£3000. (Hereinafter called the “said loans”). 2. That the term for which the said loans or any part thereof may be borrowed shall not exceed 10 years. ,3. That the rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loans or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding five and one quarter per cent (£5 ss) per annum. 4. That the said loans or any part thereof together with Interest thereon shall be repaid by aggregate or halfyearly instalments extending over the term as determined in clause 2 hereof. 5. That the payment of all such instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan moneys. 6. That the rate payable for brokerage, underwriting and procuration fees in respect of the raising of the said loans or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one half per. cent of any money raised. 7. That no moneys shall be borrowed under this sanction after the expiration of three years from the date of the Order-ln-Council consenting to the raising of the loans. 8. That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loans and the charges thereon, Special Rates as follows: Papanui Riding .98163 d (pence) in the £ (pound). Styx Riding ,95426 d (pence) in the £ (pound). On the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable properties within the above Ridings.
