Tennis Win Reversed

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) BOSTON, August 25. The American players, Miss B. J. Moffitt and Mrs K. Susman, yesterday took revenge for the loss of the Wimbledon title when they beat Miss M. Smith and Miss I* Turner (Australia) for the United States doubles championship. The American girls fought back from losing the first set, matched the Australians in power and out volleyed them, to win the title, 3-6, 6-2, 6-4. Miss Smith was a co-holder of the title. She won it last year with Miss R. Ebbern (Australia). NEW CHAIRMAN (N.Z. Prefs Association) WELLINGTON, August 25. Mr G. C. Reid, of Wellington, is the new chairman of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association’s management committee. He succeeds Mr F. S. Ramson, who recently retired from the position.
