HIROSHIMA DAY MARCH
The speakers at the Hiroshima Day march in Christchurch next Sunday will be the Rev. D. M. Taylor, general secretary of the National Council of Churches, and Mr N. E. Kirk, M.P., president of the New Zealand Labour Party. Mr Taylor said yesterday that he hoped the occasion would draw as widespread support as did the march in Auckland, where 2000 persons took part.
A conclusion of a booklet published by the World Council of Churches was that there was before everyone as a stark matter of life and death the choice to end war or be ended by it. Christians must think hard about their responsibilities to help to end war.
