Petrol Tank 72Ft High

TIMARU, August 3
New Zealand’s highest petrol storage tank, on the Shell Oil Company’s Timaru waterfront property, will be commissioned within the next month. It stands 72 feet high and holds about one and a half million gallons. There are several storage tanks in other parts of the country with a greater diameter and capacity, but none is higher than 60 feet.
